ACU-FIRE – The HDPE Pipe System for Water Supply to Hydrant, Hose Reel and Sprinkler Installations

Protection of both lives and property from fire damage is a crucial part of the design on every project. The Acu-Fire pipe system has unique properties that make it the material of choice for below-ground fire main pipelines. Acu-Tech’s experience in supplying HDPE piping means we can quickly respond to your requirements for red-striped pipe lengths for hydrants, hose reels, and sprinklers. We stock the most common lengths and diameters and can custom make any specific sizes you may need. Acu-Fire is black HDPE pipe, with a red stripe, which is why it is nicknamed ‘Red Stripe Poly Pipe’. Acu-Gas Logo

ACU-GAS – Making Gas Pipeline Installation a Breeze!

Gas distribution is an important sector for high integrity products where the safe transport of gaseous fuels is of paramount importance. Acu-Gas is the system of choice for below-ground natural and LP gas mains and distribution pipelines. Acu-Tech has forged strong relationships with both gasfitters and gas utilities over many years. We offer support, training and advice on complete package solutions. Acu-Gas comes in lengths and coils, either in a full yellow jacket, or black pipe with a yellow stripe, which is RAL1033 yellow colour. Acu-Tech manufactures yellow stripe gas pipe in W.A., and Acu-Gas yellow striped PE pipe has been used on many gas mains projects around Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane. Acu-Comms Logo

ACU-COMMS – Communications Conduit in Safely Packaged Coils

Acu-Comms communication conduit is manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with a white co-extruded outer layer for clear identification. Acu-Comms conduit can be installed below ground by a variety of methods, including directional drilling, ploughing, and open trench. Also, its flexibility and availability in continuous coiled lengths facilitates installation into existing conduits or ducts as inner-duct. Acu-Comms is always full white jacket, and can be distinguished from Acu-Therm pressure pipe by the wall thickness – Acu-Comms is non-pressure conduit, and therefore much thinner wall than Acu-Therm white pressure pipe. For telecommunications purposes, Acu-Subduct is also available as an inner-duct, to segregate cables and provide extra protection when cables are run in future. Acu-Power Logo

ACU-POWER – Conveniently Coiled Electrical Conduit

Acu-Power electrical conduit is manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with an orange co-extruded outer layer for clear identification. Acu-Power polyethylene conduit provides electrical cables with superior mechanical protection including protection from chemicals, moisture, tree roots, and even animals. The permanent pathway offered by the plastic conduit also eases replacement projects and future installations of more cables or ducts. Acu-Power is easy to recognise with its full X15 orange pipe jacket and is manufactured in Western Australia and Queensland from PE100 material. Acu-Black Logo

ACU-BLACK – PE100 Pipe Systems

The Acu-Black PE100 Pipe System incorporates the largest range of pipe and fittings manufactured from high density PE100 material. Acu-Black pipe and fittings are utilised in a wide range of fluid and gas applications across the plumbing, mining, civil, energy and mechanical services markets. Built on nearly 50 years of industry research and innovation, PE pipes have a track record of exceptional performance and durability in many demanding applications. Acu-Black HDPE pressure pipe has a full black exterior, and can also be manufactured in HSCR material. Acu-Black is also used for large diameter water pipes or large diameter sewer pipes. Acu-Rural Logo

ACU-RURAL -Imperial Pipe System for Rural Applications

Providing quality irrigation water to where it is needed is a key challenge, which Acu-Tech’s Acu-Rural pipe can come in handy. These pipes can withstand high temperatures and are economical and environmentally sustainable. The Acu-Rural piping system is the No. 1 choice for all water supply lines for farms, vineyards, etc., providing reliability, longevity and economy. Acu-Rural poly pipe is black with a brown/red stripe, and is non-pressure pipe and available in imperial sizes up to 2 inch. Red stripe rural pipe is made to Australian Standards, unlike green stripe rural poly pipe, which is poorer quality and not made to Australian Standards. Acu-Tech recommends using red stripe rural pipe, rather than green stripe pipe. Acu-Therm Logo

ACU-THERM – Above Ground Pipelines

Acu-Therm PE100 pipe is manufactured with a highly reflective white coating on the outside. This coating is extruded at the same time as the main pipe (co-extruded), forming an integral part of the pipe. Acu-Therm pipe is the ultimate solution for above ground applications including temporary water supply. Acu-Therm PE pipe is recognisable by its white exterior, which is a key part to reducing the effect of sunlight on the pipeline, and can be manufactured with stripes for identification. HDPE pipes and fittings are often striped or coloured, especially if they are to be used for water, recycled water, sewer, or stormwater applications. Acu-Drain Logo

ACU-DRAIN – Greasy, Trade and Laboratory Waste, Siphonic Stormwater and Sewer Pipelines

Acu-Drain HDPE is a complete drain, waste and vent system of pipes and fittings, manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Acu-Drain poly pipe is not pressure pipe, it is designed for wastewater pipelines, and fittings are consequently designed to use gravity to drain water and waste from the pipeline. This is why 90⁰ drainage fittings are actually 88.5⁰ fittings, to allow the water to travel slightly down hill. Acu-Drain comes in plain black, and is typically has a much thinner wall than Acu-Black pressure pipe, which also has a full black exterior. A range of unique fittings are available from Acu-Tech including welded S traps and P traps. Recycle-Tech Logo

RECYCLE-TECH – Pipelines for Recycled Water

Water is a precious resource in Australia’s dry climate, and this has led to its conservation through the use of recycled or reclaimed (grey) water sources, and rainwater catchment systems. Non-potable water supply is now an important part of sustainable building design. The standard AS3500.1:2003 “water services” requires that the system be kept entirely separate from the potable water supply, and that the piping be colour-coded and labelled to identify it as non-potable. Also known as lilac stripe poly pipe or purple stripe PE pipe, Recycle-Tech HDPE pipe is identified by its black with purple stripes, which in AS2700 colours is black with P23 lilac stripes, although recycled water pipe can also be supplied in a complete lilac or purple jacket. Acu-Sewer Logo

ACU-SEWER – The Waste-Friendly HDPE Piping System

The most common types of damage in sewers are broken pipe and defective connections, typical for rigid and brittle pipe. Our Acu-Sewer PE pipe system is mainly fused which results in a material-homogeneous joint which requires no additional sealing elements.  Fused PE pipes facilitate the construction and operation of a very robust and durable, permanently sealed and long-lasting sewer piping system.  This means the system does no longer consist of individual components, but one single pipe section. Acu-Sewer pressure pipe is identified by its black with cream stripes, but can be made to other colours by agreement between the purchaser and supplier.   Acu-Tech also sells a number of other Piping Systems, including:
  • The Acu-Tech PP-R system, which has been designed for the use both in sanitary applications for the supply of hot and cold water, and in the heating and air-conditioning industry. The system can also be used for industrial applications for transporting chemicals and liquid foods. PP-R is an acronym for Polypropylene Random Copolymer. PP-R pipe is a light green colour, and is quite common in the HVAC industry.
  • Acu-Air pipe lengths for compressed air pipe. Typically blue air pipe is made to withstand high pressure, but allows for easy installation and joining.
  • Acu-Subduct inner ducting for communications conduit, to further protect and segregate cables within comms conduit, often used for internet cables including NBN, Telstra cables and Optus cables, or telecommunications networks.
  • Custom made PE100 HDPE Pipe, including HDPE pipe for floating fish farms, HDPE pipe for certain chemicals or explosives, HDPE pipe for HVAC, HDPE pipe for blasting and high pressure water cleaning, HDPE pipe for marine applications, HDPE pipe for aquaculture, HDPE collar pipe, HDPE pipe for irrigation and HDPE pipe for horticultural experiments.
