Compression Female Adaptor Fitting

A compression female adaptor fitting is used to join a length of metric HDPE pipe with a male-threaded valve or tap. Compression adaptors with a female transition fitting can also be used to fit a male-threaded end cap, so that a pipeline extension can be fitted in future. With a size range from 20 mm to 110 mm, compression female adaptor fittings match common pipe sizes, and are usually SDR 11. Compression female adaptors are suitable for water and other similar fluids, with pressures up to 16 bar, however this varies with the ambient temperature and temperature of the pipe contents. Female adaptor compression fittings are made from PE100 material with precisely moulded parts, and a rubber sealing ring for larger sizes. For larger sizes, the threaded end is reinforced with a stainless steel ring. Compression female adaptors are suitable for outdoor use, being resistant to etching by numerous chemical substances, and to UV rays. Compatible with PELD, PEHD, PE40, PE80 and PE100 pipes, compression male adaptor fittings may also be known as compression female adaptors, compression female-threaded transition fittings or threaded female poly pipe adaptors.
